Lose mind. Find soul.
Hiking, walking, and enjoying nature in South Tyrol's South
"And into the forest I go to lose my mind and find my soul." At Kohlbrenner, we believe this quote perfectly captures our philosophy. Here, you can not only relax but also immerse yourself in a wealth of experiences.
From the lodge, you can hike to Tschaufen-Haus and then across the picturesque Salten to Jenesien, Langfenn, or Mölten. The return journey can be conveniently made by public bus, with the bus stop just 800 metres away. This makes it easy to explore other hiking destinations without needing a car.
Meran City
Enjoy an ice cream along the Passer River, sip an aperitif, or simply wander and stroll. Visit Sissi's summer residence and immerse yourself in the blooms of the gardens at Trauttmansdorff Castle. Shop under the arcades or explore the historic old town and magnificent mansions. Visit a museum or take a leisurely stroll along one of the promenades.
As you can see, the possibilities for exploring the spa town of Meran are endless. We’re happy to provide you with insider tips once you’re here.

Bozen flair
Colourful and charming, full of history and life – that’s our capital city of Bozen. Just a short half-hour drive or bus ride away, you’ll discover the historic centre and old town with its ancient arcades.
Enjoy an aperitif in a piazza or a quick espresso at a bar, and soak up the Italian flair combined with South Tyrolean zest for life. Explore the 500-year-old fruit market, visit a chocolaterie, and enjoy the vibrant bars and restaurants. Bozen also offers a range of museums and shops that make a visit truly worthwhile.
